(June 22, 2017) – The Quebec Association for the Production of Renewable Energy just completed 26 years of action and can now enjoy an unquestionable credibility and is known as the voice of Quebec’s renewable energy industry.
The energy transition has long been considered as an unattainable goal, but has now became a fundamental issue of Quebec’s policies. In fact, since the creation of Transition énergétique Québec (TEQ), Quebec’s government shows how important it is to support and promote the transition and energy efficiency. Measures and actions are being undertaken in that direction, not only in Quebec but at a national and a global level. In that regard, Quebec’s new International Policy published last April includes climate change and energy transition among its priorities. AQPER remains more than ever convinced on the strategic role of technology showcases and the development of major renewable-energy projects in order to demonstrate Quebec’s expertise to the wider world and thus increase exports.
